If you’re an athlete—whether you race bikes, cars or horses, or if you’re an ultra-runner, a triathlete, a trials rider or getting after any number of athletic styles or endeavors, at some point, you might decide you want to seek some sponsorships, or raise money for yourself or a cause close to your heart. Maybe you’re hoping to ask friends, family, fans and local small businesses to help support your coming season of travel and racing. Whatever the reason, Payable Forms is an easy and free way to get set up and accepting sponsorship dollars in just a few minutes.
And all it takes is a Google Form and and the Payable Add-On. With this simple setup, you can create a Google Form to collect information about your sponsors (and even have them upload logos if you plan to put them on your uniform!) and then accept payment. You can set up levels of sponsorship, from 50 cents to 50 grand (or more if you’re feeling bold—there’s no limit!).
As people sign up and send you the cash, their information is collected in the connected Google Sheet. That way, you can easily see how much you’ve made, and send thank you emails and trading cards or stickers.
How to get started creating your athlete sponsorship page
Simply set up a Google Form with all the tiers of sponsorship and any information you need to collect, then activate the Payable Add-On, and in minutes, you can collect money as your supporters fill out your Form and are moved through the checkout process.
There’s no muss, no fuss, and no subscription fees. Payable only makes money if you do, and our fees are significantly lower than typical sponsorship-style sites. (For example, in the US, Patreon takes around 10% of your profits while Payable is under one percent.)
We know creating Forms can be time-consuming, so we have a whole template library available to help get you started fast. We’ve created a template just for athletes looking for sponsorships: Just copy it and make it your own! (Don’t forget to follow the instructions in the template to activate the Payable Add-On and set it to start collecting payments.)
