Whether you’re a podcast host, life coach, executive coach or other expert looking to host a mastermind, you may be searching for the perfect platform to get started. Many podcast creators are using options like Patreon, Circle, or SubStack to host their groups, those platforms take a percentage of profits and are often more cumbersome than you need them to be—and rarely do they have the capabilities that the Google Workspace does! To host your mastermind—and get paid—it’s easy to get started with the Google Workspace, avoiding monthly fees or big percentages sheered off of your profits.
Bonus: You’re meeting your clients where they already live. Nearly everyone works in Google now, so you’re not asking them to sign up and manage another platform.
Get Sign Ups and Get Paid
Your Mastermind Application/Registration can be set up in minutes with Google Form and and the Payable Add-On. With this simple setup, you can create a Google Form to collect information about your clientele. You may even want to set up tiers for your mastermind and include one-off options like a bonus coaching call with you.
With Payable, there’s no muss, no fuss, and no subscription fees. Payable only makes money if you do, and our cut—zero for sales under $2.50, 25 cents for transactions between $2.51 and $75, and 0.5% for transactions over $75—is significantly lower than typical sponsorship-style sites. (For example, in the US, Patreon takes around 10% of your profits.) If you need more help, we have a step-by-step tutorial here, or this quick video can walk you through getting set up.
You can get started with this free template that allows you to create one-time payments or set up ongoing subscriptions right here.
As people sign up and send you their payments, their information is collected in the connected Google Sheet. That way, you can easily see how much you’ve made, and have their contact info in the Sheet so you can…
Create A Group
Google Workspace allows you to create a group, so you can plug all of your mastermind clientele’s emails right into a single group to make inviting them to virtual meetups, sharing new materials or emailing everyone incredibly simple.
Set Up Meetings
Most masterminds have regular meetings—and these can easily be held in Google Meet! You can easily create a one-time or recurring calendar event for these Meetups, and it will instantly create a Google Meet link that’s easy to access, impossible to forget.
Create a Shared Drive Folder
Assuming you have worksheets, ebooks, or other downloadables—even recordings of your meetings, you don’t need to overcomplicate things by sending huge downloadable files or links to other third party apps. Just create a Drive folder and either share it with your group or set it to viewable by anyone with the link (if you trust your clients to not spread it around!).
Schedule One-on-Ones
If you’re planning to offer regular coaching calls, make them easy to schedule using a tool like Calendly, a Workspace add-on that lets you set your schedule and times you have available for calls, and allows your clients to book themselves in.
